The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Course Requirements:

  • Complete Quick Review Quiz

  • Ability to swim 300m + float for 10min

  • Minimum age is 12 years, with no maximum age

  • Some medical conditions may prevent you from diving. You will be required to obtain a dive medical certificate if you answer “yes” to any of the questions on the Student Medical. This must be valid within 90 days of commencing the course and must be done before you start with us.

The cost of the PADI (E-Learning program) is AUD$202 and non refundable. The fee covers your knowledge development training and gives you unlimited access to an electronic version of the PADI Open Water Diver Manual (course textbook). This fee is paid directly to PADI USA

Now you can do your PADI certification here with CICI as part or your internship.  Through The Conflict Islands PADI 5 Star Resort, you can do your PADI Open Water Course or if you are already certified you can take you skills to a new depth with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course.

All participants undertaking diver training, get FREE gear hire and FREE diving for the duration of your internship.

You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.

You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and aother three, for a total of five dives.

During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, and many more.

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course consists of two main phases:

  • Knowledge Development online, to understand basic principles of scuba diving

  • Open Water Dives to learn Advanced scuba skills

Information
Prior to commencing your Dive Course you are required to complete the self-assessment Student Dive Medical. A positive response to any question means that there is a pre-existing condition that may affect your safety while diving and you must consult a medical practitioner preferably with experience in diving medicine to obtain a dive medical certificate that states that you are fit to undertake recreational diver training.
To avoid disappointment we suggest that you complete the Student Diver Medical Declaration and if necessary obtain a dive medical from a doctor prior to commencement. (Any costs associated in this process are payable direct to the doctor).
